College & Career Room
The Oviedo High School College/Career Room has provided a much-needed service to the students at OHS since 1985.
Staffed by Dividend volunteers, the College/Career Room is located in the Guidance Office. It is open daily.
All scholarship announcements will be posted in the Senior English classrooms and in the College room in Guidance. Don't let somebody else get the $ you deserve! Get these applications in!

New Scholarship Updates
- Attention all juniors and seniors: Avar Press is sponsoring an essay contest based upon D.J. Solomon’s book, Xen: Ancient English Edition. Cash prizes range from $500-$1,000. Visit the college room for more details about the contest. Deadline for essays to be submitted is May 31st.
- All student grades 9-12 are invited to apply for the College Peas Student Standout College Scholarship which will be awarded to a student who participates in an activity that sets them apart from their peers. This “non-teenager” activity could be a special skill, talent or interest that teenagers don’t generally do. Information about applying for this scholarship is available in the college room, and the deadline to apply is June 30th.
- Seniors, the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation awards scholarships starting at $2,500 to students enrolling in a restaurant or food service-related program. Find out more about this scholarship in the college room. Deadline to apply is July 25th.
- Attention all students: the consulting firm of AES Engineers is offering a $500 scholarship to a deserving student based upon character, as determined by an essay written by the student. For more information about the contest, visit the college room. Deadline for submission of your essay is October 5th.
- All students interested in obtaining scholarships are invited to participate in CollegeWeekLive Monthly, which awards a $1,000 scholarship monthly to the winner of a virtual event. You may obtain more information about this scholarship contest in the college room
