What's new?

Dear Oviedo High School Lion Families,

Every five years, Oviedo High School participates in an accreditation review through Cognia, a process that helps us reflect, grow, and ensure we are meeting high standards for student learning and school culture. This year marks our scheduled review, and we are asking for your support.

An essential part of this process is gathering input from our families. Your feedback not only helps us improve as a school but is a critical component of the Cognia accreditation framework. The survey is designed to capture your experiences and perspectives, and we truly need strong participation from our parent community to ensure a well-rounded and representative review.

Please take a few minutes to complete the survey linked below. We need at least 20% of the parents to respond in order to become accredited.

The survey will remain open until October 31st. Thank you for your time, your voice, and your partnership in helping Oviedo High School continue to thrive.

Upcoming Events

4/25 Prom at the Rosen Shingle Creek.
A graduation date will be determined around Winter Break. The reason is the contract with the school board and UCF has to be agreed upon and voted on by the school board. Once that date is known, we will immediately share it with our Oviedo senior families and community.

If you are interested in any club at OHS, please click below for the listing of all clubs and the sponsors.

The one item that all seniors really would love to have is a yearbook. Many times we don't have enough extras at the end of the year and many seniors get left out of this amazing memory. Please make sure you order a yearbook at its least expensive price of $75. Yearbooks are on sale for $75 on www.yearbookforever.com. For parents of seniors, senior ad/shoutout pages are available on the site as well! Senior ads are due by October 31st! For more information, please go to https://oviedojournalism.com/buy-your-yearbook/ or email oviedianyearbook@gmail.com with any questions!

Employees of the Week - Diana Albino (not pictured) and Julie Murphy

This week, we proudly recognize Yamila Colon, Diana Albino, and Julie Murphy as our Teacher and Employees of the Week for their outstanding leadership and dedication during our very first Book Fair!

This recognition is a reflection of their passion and the powerful role they play in shaping a culture of curiosity and academic excellence at Oviedo High. Please join me in congratulating Yamila, Diana, and Julie for this well-deserved honor!
