Congratulations to these students, you make us proud!

This past weekend, the Marching Lions proudly wrapped up their competitive season at the FFCC State Championships. The Oviedo Band has been a consistent state finalist every year they have participated since 2018, and this year was no exception.

The Marching Lions earned an impressive 7th place overall, regardless of class size, achieving one of the highest scores in program history. They also captured Best Color Guard in their class and finished 2nd overall among all color guards. Our percussion section delivered a strong performance as well, placing 4th overall.

Congratulations to the Marching Lions! We are incredibly proud of your hard work, dedication, and achievement.

Congratulations to Agriscience!

Agriscience 1
Ms. Brinkman’s Agriscience students volunteered at JHMS STEAM night last night. OHS students helped the JHMS students make MOO-dels of a cow stomach. Go Lions!
Agriscience 2
In Agriscience, you will learn what you need to jumpstart a career in agriscience. You will dive into agricultural history and its global impact, and learn about scientific and research concepts that drive the field, as well as the effects of agriculture on the environment. The course will also teach you about the career opportunities available in the field and how to promote yourself best so you can land your dream job. Specialized lab activities will give you the hands-on practice you need to master the content. This is just one example of a lab you will have the opportunity to perform.

Congratulations to Ms. Brinkman

Congratulations to Ms. Brinkman for being named the 2025 Agriculture Educator of the Year. Seminole County Agriculture Teacher of the Year by the Seminole County Farm Bureau! Ms. Brinkman was recognized at the School Board Meeting on Tuesday. Go Lions!

What's new?

When we get back from Thanksgiving Break, we are celebrating Winter Week as a school. We will have dress up days and also a free movie Thursday night. Please see the flyers below and consider joining in on the winter fun!

As we approach Thanksgiving, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to the entire Oviedo High School community. Your continued support, encouragement, and partnership make all the difference in the lives of our students and staff. I’m truly thankful to work and live in such a caring and committed community. It’s a privilege to serve as principal here, and I’m reminded daily of how special this place is.

In addition, as we head into the holiday season, I want to remind our Oviedo High School families and students that you're never alone. If you or someone you know needs support during the break, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’ve included a list of helpful community mental health resources below. The same flyer was also emailed to every student through their school emails and posted on social media. Our goal is to ensure every member of our Lion family feels cared for and supported. Wishing you all a safe, warm, and peaceful holiday season.

Go Lions!
