What's new?

Congratulations to Moitri Santra for being named one of the Top 300 young scientists in the nation in the Regeneron Science Talent Search competition. Her research project on treating citrus greening disease has earned her a $4000 for her and Oviedo High School. Way to make us proud!

Please make sure you read the attendance policy especially as it affects juniors and seniors ability to buy prom tickets. It is posted in Parent Square. Questions? Email Jose_Sanchez@scps.k12.fl. us

Upcoming Events

4/25 Prom at the Rosen Shingle Creek.

5/18 at 8:30 a.m. at the UCF Addition Financial Arena. Doors open at 7:30 a.m. Each senior will be given 10 graduation tickets at graduation practice. Additional tickets can be purchased for $5 cash only at the graduation practice.

If you are interested in any club at OHS, please click below for the listing of all clubs and the sponsors.

The one item that all seniors really would love to have is a yearbook. Many times we don't have enough extras at the end of the year and many seniors get left out of this amazing memory. Please make sure you order a yearbook at its least expensive price of $80. Yearbooks are on sale for $80 on www.yearbookforever.com. oviedianyearbook@gmail.com with any questions!

The following students were nominated by Mr. Howell. He said, "These students have started for four straight years during their golf careers at OHS. They’ve finished runner-up in Conference and District two years in a row. They represent the very best of what young people and student-athletes should be. They work hard, and they play with class—every single time. They will be missed!"

Teacher and Employee of the Week

Knaub

Congratulations to our Teacher of the Week!

Teacher of the Week: Shawn Knaub

This week we celebrate Shawn Knaub for going above and beyond to spread holiday cheer! Shawn willingly stepped into the role of Santa Claus for our preschool students—and he was the real deal! With a jolly laugh and a twinkle in his eye, he made the day magical for our little ones. He read stories, handed out candy canes, and created memories that will last a lifetime. A big thank you to Shawn for embodying the spirit of the season and making such a positive impact.
Buckner

Congratulations to our Employee of the Week!

Employee of the Week - Shamilya Buckner

We are thrilled to recognize Shamilya Buckner, our amazing Attendance Secretary, as this week’s Employee of the Week! Shamilya has been diligently managing substitute coverage and handling all the notes for excused absences since the start of the school year. Her willingness to learn new systems keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes. What truly sets Shamilya apart is her kind and calm demeanor. She approaches every task with a positive attitude and a smile, making the office a brighter place for everyone. Thank you, Shamilya, for your hard work and dedication—you are an essential part of our team!
