Coursework Completion Requirements & Credit Recovery
Seminole County Public Schools implemented new policies that started with the Class of 2024. The policy is in the Student Progression Plan regarding coursework completion dates and credit recovery. This change should have very little impact on the majority of our students, but it is important that everyone is aware of the policy that is the following.
• Seniors who fail a second semester course that is a graduation requirement may not begin the Credit Recovery course until Summer School.
• In order to participate in the graduation ceremony, seniors must have earned a high school diploma.
• All coursework, including Credit Recovery and Virtual School, must be completed no later than one week prior to graduation – Monday, May 11 by 3:00 p.m.
Seniors, our goal is for EVERY student to walk the stage at your graduation ceremony in May, and we are here to support you in achieving this goal. I encourage you to stay on top of every grade for every class, keep in constant communication with your teachers, and be sure to finish and submit all assignments and assessments. Let’s finish strong!
Sincerely,
Dr. Trent Daniel
